BROWSE DEALERS ↗WHAT DOES “PREMIUM” ACTUALLY MEAN?
The product premium is the difference between what the metal itself is worth at your entered spot price and what the seller charges for the item. The all-in premium additionally counts your payment add-on, shipping, insurance and estimated sales tax.
For example, if a one-troy-ounce gold item has an entered spot reference of $3,000, and your product price is $3,150, the product premium is 5%. With $20 shipping, total cost is $3,170 and the all-in premium is approximately 5.67%.
Comparisons should use identical fine-metal weight and a consistent spot reference time. A coin’s denomination or collector value is not the same thing as its fine-metal content.
